Getting around the show:
It is not necessary to struggle with heavy traffic and parking problems to attend Strictly Sail Miami and the Miami International Boat Show. Here is a
strategy for reducing parking problems, gaining more time at the show and as a bonus, enjoy the fine cuisine available at Bayside Marketplace.
1. Start your day by going directly to Strictly Sail Miami located at
Bayside Marketplace downtown Miami. Bayside offers plenty of convenient, inexpensive parking and easy free transportation to all the other boat show
sites is also provided. Bayside is only five short blocks from the I- 395 Biscayne Blvd. exit. It is also on both the Metro Rail and TRI Rail routes,
making it easy to access from upstate
If you get there very early, there is a parking lot directly across the street from
Bayside, on the corner of Biscayne and Bayside Blvd. that charges $3.50 per day. Other's vary between $5.00 and $7.50 depending upon what time you
arrive. There is covered parking at Bayside itself. It does fill up early
because of an early bird parking special. Off-street parking is definitely the way to go.
2. Strictly Sail opens everyday at 10am. Easy highway access, convenient parking options and free transportation to the other parts of the show will
make your day much more pleasant and you’ll also avoid the rush hour traffic on Macarthur Causeway. If you park in any of the local off-street lots you
will also find a number of small coffee shops catering to the college students and local business people that are very reasonable in price. There
is even a local McDonalds on one corner across from the College. Buses run constantly from Strictly Sail to the Convention Center and the Marriott and
will continue until one hour after the Convention Center closes which in
most cases 9 PM. therefore, you can stay at the Convention Center until closing assured of free transportation back to Bayside until 10pm. Tuesday
and Thursday offer shorter days so be sure to check the hours listed below. If you have any energy left, you can join in the nightly entertainment and
festivities at Bayside.
3. Miami Beach has world-renowned restaurants. Unfortunately for show goers these restaurants are not within easy walking distance of the convention
center. On the other hand, Strictly Sail takes place at Internationally renowned Bayside Marketplace. Therefore, there are a plethora of fine
eateries adjacent to the boat show! They open for breakfast and continue serving and providing entertainment long into the night. It is a festival of
fine ethnic and traditional cuisine and lots of great entertainment in a spectacular tropical setting.
